Soon, beer will be tapped all over the world from BLEFA kegs produced with green electricity.
At BLEFA, we see it as our responsibility to not only produce sustainable kegs. BLEFA has a goal to be completely CO2 neutral by 2035.
To this end, we have developed an action plan with the priority of significantly reducing energy consumption and thus reducing our carbon footprint.
We are setting a milestone in sustainability by equipping the roofs of our Kreuztal headquarters with a high-performance photovoltaic system.
For this purpose, we are installing 3,646 panels with an output of almost 1,500 kW peak on our 10,000 m² roof area. From 2024, around 1,391 million kWh of green electricity will be generated here each year, the majority of which we will be able to consume directly on site. The rest will be fed into the grid.
